Expired Permits
Every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work on the site authorized by such permit is commenced within 180 days after its issuance, or if the work authorized on the site by such permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the time the work is commenced.
Expired Permit Reinstatement
- Expired Permit Fee Schedule:

- 0-45 days – technology fee
- 46-90 days – technology fee, application fee or trade permit fee for standalone permits that do not have an application fee
- 91 days or more – technology fee, application fee, permit fee

How to reinstate expired permit
- Less 90 days:
Customer to apply online under main permit for reinstatement with a completed reinstate/expired permit application. If there are revisions to the original project, customer needs to include revisions and indicate on reinstate/expired permit application there are revisions and what the revisions are.
- More than 90 days:
A new permit application, all fees, and compliance with all current codes and regulations will be required. The original permit will be closed out. If some inspections were completed, remaining inspections will be added to new permit. New permit application must complete a new review, and be changed full fees that are applicable to the project. All trades will need to reapply as well if there are trade permits required under the main permit.

Request to extend a permit
- ACTIVE PERMITS may be extended for up to 90 days by requesting an extension prior to the expiration date
- Costs: Technology Fee
